Midterm and Final Grades
Follow these steps to enter your midterm and final grades in my.und.edu.
Step 1: Log in
- Go to my.uindy.edu
- Click on the Faculty tab.
Step 2: Access the grading portal
- Select Self-Service Links.
- On the right-hand side, click Input Final and Midterm Grades.
- A list of your current courses will appear.
- You will only see the grading option during the official grading window.
- Use the Midterm or Final tab, depending on the grading period.
Step 3: Enter grades
- For each student, use the pull-down menu to select the grade.
- Click Save when finished.
Special notes:

F grade: You must also provide the student’s last date of attendance.
- Examples: last login date (online), last submitted assignment, or last day they were present in class.
- FN grade: Use if the student never attended your class.
- DE (Deferred grade): Use if the course is designed to extend beyond the regular semester (e.g., student teaching, thesis projects).

IN (Incomplete): Use if the student was expected to finish during the term but did not.
- Requires the last date of attendance.
- You must also complete the Incomplete Grade Contract (see Step 4).
Step 4: Incomplete Grade Contract
- Go to the Registrar’s website
- Under Forms, select Incomplete Grade Contract.
- Fill in:
- Student’s information
- Course requirements to be completed
- Completion deadline
- Last date of attendance
- Your name and signature
- Submit the form to the Registrar’s office.
Note: Incomplete work must be finished within six months (or the time you specify on the form). If it is not, the Registrar will record a grade of F.

Grade Types
- F – Student attended but did not pass; requires last date of attendance.
- FN – Student never attended the course.
- DE – Deferred; course extends beyond the semester.
- IN – Incomplete; student did not finish on time, requires contract.
