Gradebook - Add Extra Credit

Gradebook makes it easy to award extra credit. This video will explain how. 

  • Open the Gradebook tool in your course
  • Select Add Gradebook Item
  • Enter the Title of the Gradebook item
  • Enter the Point value
  • Select the Extra Credit Check Box
  • Enter the Due Date by selecting the small calendar icon (optional)
  • If you are using Gradebook Categories or Weighted Categories, select the Category from the drop-down menu
  • Make sure the Release item to students and Include item in course grade calculations check boxes are selected
  • Click Create

Note: when entering grades for students who complete the extra credit, leave the grade blank for students who do not. DO NOT ENTER A ZERO.
