Check for Microsoft updates

If you are a UIndy employee with a UIndy Windows computer, you need to make sure your operating system updates regularly to prevent it from becoming vulnerable to malware and hacking. In addition, Microsoft Office applications need to check in with our licensing server so that they continue to function. Normally, you receive these updates because you are connected to the UIndy network on campus. However, if your computer has not been on the campus network or connected to UIndy’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) it hasn’t received necessary updates.

You will likely have several computer updates that will take some time to upload. To avoid updates happening at inopportune times, you can check for updates at a time that is convenient for you.
