Connect to the UIndy VPN

The UIndy Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to securely connect to the UIndy network from off campus. The VPN is required to use some UIndy services from off campus.

If you have not already done so, first download and install the UIndy VPN software.

Connect to the UIndy VPN from Windows
  1. Click the Windows Search magnifying glass.
  2. Enter Cisco AnyConnect in the search box.
  3. Click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client application.

  1. Enter vpn.uindy.edu into the field.
  2. Click Connect.

  1. Enter your UIndy username and password.
  2. Click OK.

When you have successfully connected to the VPN, a message will appear indicating that you are connected.

To end your VPN session, follow steps 1-3 again to open the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client software. Click Disconnect.

  1. By default, the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client software is located in your Applications folder.
  2. Click the Cisco folder.

  1. Click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client icon.

  1. Enter vpn.uindy.edu in the field to the left of the Connect button.
  2. Click the Connect button.

  1. Enter your UIndy username and password.
  2. Press the OK button.

When you have successfully connected to the VPN, a message will appear indicating that you are connected.

To end your VPN session, click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client icon in your dock. Click Disconnect.
