Connect to the UIndy VPN for the first time

The UIndy Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to securely connect to the UIndy network from off campus. The VPN is required to use some UIndy services from off campus.

UIndy has partnered with Duo Security, a multi-factor authentication service, that is a secure way for you to log into your applications and our UIndy VPN.

Please follow the steps listed below before connecting to the UIndy VPN for the first time.

  1. Request access to the UIndy VPN by submitting a Help Desk Ticket.
  2. After access has been granted, review the UIndy VPN Guidelines.

VPN software is typically installed on University issued computers. To see if it's installed:

  1. Click on the search bar and enter Cisco AnyConnect. If nothing appears, proceed to step 4. If Cisco does appear, skip to step 5.
