Delete a GTempAccount

At some point, before UIndy moved to Gmail, you created an account with a Google service using your UIndy email account. This could have been anything from YouTube to any other Google service. When UIndy started using Gmail services, the previously created account was renamed to an @GTempAccount in order for your UIndy account to exist as an email account.

The notices you've been receiving are related to an app or service that had permission to your account, but no longer does. This app or service has been trying to access that account which has failed and will continue to do so. In order to resolve this issue, you will need to sign into this GTempAccount.

Resolve the issue by deleting the GTempAccount

  1. Navigate to https://www.gmail.com/.
  2. Type the GTempAccount (e.g. UIndy_username%[email protected]).
  3. Click Next.
  1. Then type the password for the GTempAccount.

If you don't recall this password click Forgot password? and follow the password reset direction.

  1. Once signed in, navigate to https://myaccount.google.com/.
  2. Click Data & personalization.
  1. Click Delete a service or your account.
  1. Under Delete your Google Account. Click Delete your account.
  1. Follow through the steps to delete the account.

If you cannot reset the password for the GTempAccount, you will continue to receive these notices, and there's no way to resolve this issue. However, you can create a filter in your UIndy Gmail that will catch these notices and automatically delete or archive them.

Navigate to the following link to create a Gmail Filter.
